Dr Salem Ahmed Makhashen is a Consultant in Public Health , Preventive Medicine and a Specialist in Occupational Medicine, with over 21 years of experience in the field. He has 15 years of experience as a Consultant in Public Health , Preventive Medicine and 12 years of experience as a Specialist in Occupational Medicine. Prior to joining NMC Royal Hospital, Khalifa City, he has worked in MOH, SEHA, HLG in Abu Dhabi. Dr Salem Ahmed Makhashen obtained his MBBS from Damascus University, Syria, followed by M. Sc from Alexandria University, Egypt and dual M. Sc from Tunisia University. He also completed his MD from Banha University. Dr Salem has special interests in the field of: Designing and implementing OHS programs and policies. Assessment for fitness for work and impairment. Assessment of occupational diseases and injuries. Workplace related illnesses or causation analysis. Independent medical health examination. Occupational toxicology. He can converse in English and Arabic.
