Dr Samar Sabir Mohammed Hassan is a distinguished consultant paediatrician and specialist paediatric endocrinologist with over 10 years of experience. Dr Samar's educational journey includes achieving an MBBS degree in 2003 from the University of Medical Science and Technology, followed by MD and MRCPCH qualifications. Notably, Dr Samar completed a PETCA fellowship in paediatric endocrinology, showcasing a commitment to continuous learning and specialization.

Throughout her career, Dr Samar has showcased expertise in various roles, starting from housekeeping in several hospitals in Khartoum state, Sudan, to serving as a paediatric endocrinologist at Gaafar Ibn Auf Hospital, Khartoum, Sudan, from 2015 to April 2023. She further contributed to the field as a paediatric diabetologist at the Sudan Childhood Diabetes Centre (SCDC), Khartoum, Sudan, from 2019 to 2023.

Dr Samar Sabir Mohammed Hassan has received the Paediatric Endocrine Society (PES) International Scholars Award in 2018. She is an active member of organizations such as the European Society for Paediatric Endocrinology (ESPE), the International Society for Paediatric and Adolescent Diabetes (ISPAD), the Arab Society for Paediatric Endocrinology (ASPED), the African Society for Paediatric Endocrine and Diabetes (ASPAED), the Sudanese Society for Paediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes (SSPED), and the Sudan Childhood Diabetes Association (SCDA).
