Dr Abbas moved to France where I completed my fellowship in nephrology, dialysis, hypertension and kidney-pancreas transplantation at Lyon-sud University hospital, the second largest university hospital network in France where I have been practicing as consultant nephrologist for 10 years.

I also set up the Nephrology Department at the Pierre Outdo Hospital center in Bourgoin Jallieu (France): Head of Department between 2014-2017.

I have published several articles in various medical journals, and I have numerous presentations, publications, and conferences to my name.
