Profile Description Dr. Hassan Elberm has an overall 25 years of experience in General Surgery. Prior to joining NMC he was working in the United Kingdom as a Consultant General, Laparoscopic, and HPB surgeon for over 12 years at University Hospital Southampton, one of the largest teaching hospitals in the UK, which is also internationally known for its leading Hepato-Pancreto-Biliary (HPB) surgery tertiary referral centre. He was also the Trauma Lead for General Surgery.

Dr. Hassan Elberm was awarded his medical degree (MD) by University of Aleppo in 1999. He completed his surgical training and Master’s degree at Aleppo University Hospital. His passion for liver and pancreas surgery led him to the UK where he did a number of fellowships in HPB (Liver and Pancreas) surgery, liver transplantation, and minimally invasive surgery.

Dr. Hassan Elberm is also passionate about medical education and surgical training, he worked as an educational and clinical supervisor for surgical trainees for several years. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and a member of Faculty of Surgical Trainers. He presented in multiple international conferences and published a number of articles in peer-review journals and is a faculty in several surgical training courses.
