Dr Tamer Tawheed Mohammed Specialist Paediatric Ophthalmology with a distinguished educational background from Al-Azhar University in Cairo. He earned MBBCH in 2009, MSc in 2014, and MD in Ophthalmology in 2020 from the oldest and most prestigious Al-Azhar University . Dr Tamer has successfully performed hundreds of strabismus surgeries for both children and adults, as well as cataract surgeries, consistently achieving excellent results.
With 14 years of professional experience, Dr. Tamer commenced his career as an ophthalmology resident at Al-Hussin University Hospital. He advanced through the ranks to become Vice President of both the Paediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus Unit and the Cataract and Lens Implantation Unit at Al-Azhar University Hospital. He has held prominent academic positions, including Assistant Lecturer and subsequently Lecturer of Ophthalmology at Al-Azhar University. Additionally, he served as a Consultant Paediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus and has overseen numerous master’s and doctoral theses.
Dr Tamer’s contributions to the field extend beyond clinical practice, with significant research publications such as ""Updates of Corneal Biomechanics"" and ""Surgical Outcome of Inferior Rectus Recession in Monocular Elevation Deficit.
